about

This is a tune written by the band 2:00AM Wake Up Call. It's so goddamn good. We were asked to cover it for a comp (that has yet to happen, but we hope it does). Anyway, we did this, like, a year ago. I can't recall. It's just a demo, but it's free so enjoy!

lyrics

I look around the room and I'm free
I take my pulse to know I'm alive
I shed my skin to change into me
I'm just doing what I need to do so I can survive
What would've happened in another world
One where I didn't have to stay inside
How long would it have taken him to recognize the girl
In the mirror when he hates himself at night
He's up all night
And it ain't right
1, 2
I said another prayer for the lost
It took so long to find out the truth
And I'm so tired of weighing all the costs
I'm just going to be happy I'm done looking for proof
Sometimes I just think about the times
When I could've gone another way
But I wouldn't change the way that I made it here
Because I'm happy and what else can I say
What can I say
That I'm ok
But you know me
I haven't changed my mind
And you know me
I'm changing all the time
I'm changing
