Psycho Eddie 02:19
The bell rang twice for Susie Joe She’s a block over, 6 feet below In the ground with her mind still thinking About his smile and blue eyes twinkling Psycho Eddie strikes once again His wild hair and pearly grin He sits at the counter with a whiskey in hand Stripes in the car from escaping the pen Now Ellie May had a similar fate In the ground of another state The Indiana beauty, a drugstore queen Hopped in the car with that teenage dream Psycho Eddie strikes once again His wild hair and pearly grin He sits at the counter with a whiskey in hand Stripes in the car from escaping the pen Eddie wasn’t all that bad of a guy He just loved that glow in their eyes As he would take them dancing through town Before the jealously and Jack brought him down Psycho Eddie strikes once again His wild hair and pearly grin He sits at the counter with a whiskey in hand Stripes in the car from escaping the pen

about

Psycho Eddie is a tune Sarah Lauren wrote forever ago, but we couldn't ever quite get it right. So we stored it away, forgot about it, and then, when we showed it to our new bassist (hi Nate!), he was like, 'Do this and this.' So we did 'this and this', and now we really like the song. It's a good song. It's a song that sounds like us. If that makes sense.

Smith Hill (a cover) is a gut-puncher for a few folks in the band. There's a live version where the singer/songwriter of Deer Tick (John Joseph McCauley) references his deceased father, and that's just enough to crush a punk--especially a punk who no longer has a dad.

Enjoy!

Recorded at Dominion Farm Animal Sanctuary (Jube's Room) sometime during the summer of 2021.

Mixed and Recorded by our bassist Nate R (that dude can do anything!!--but stop messing with my amp, yo. Jokes, jokes.)
